- Drive to Tsomoriri Lake: Begin your drive towards Tsomoriri Lake, a breathtaking high-altitude lake located at 4,595 meters (15,075 feet). The route will take you through the scenic Mahe Bridge, providing a stunning view of the surrounding valleys and mountains.
- Arrive at Korzok: You will reach Korzok, a small village on the banks of Tsomoriri Lake, by late afternoon. Korzok is the primary settlement around the lake and offers magnificent views of the shimmering blue waters of the lake, set against the backdrop of snow-capped peaks.
- Evening at Tsomoriri Lake: In the evening, take a peaceful walk around Tsomoriri Lake. - Retrace the Route to Puga Sumdo: Start by retracing your route back to Puga Sumdo, crossing beautiful landscapes. Puga Sumdo is known for its sulfur springs, a unique feature of the region.
- Polokongka Pass (4920 meters): Continue your journey across the Polokongka Pass, located at 4920 meters (16,142 feet), where you'll be surrounded by high-altitude landscapes and magnificent views of the Rupsho plateau.
- Visit Tsokar Lake: Proceed to Tsokar Lake, also known as the White Lake. It is a saltwater lake situated in the Rupsho Plateau and is home to the Changa nomads who live in the area. Special Instructions
Mobile Network: Only post-paid mobile phones work in Leh-Ladakh, with BSNL being the most reliable network. Airtel and Vodafone also have signals in some areas, but network connectivity is often limited in remote regions. Inform your family in advance that you may not be reachable at all times, as phone signals can be inconsistent.
Sunscreen and Protection: Due to high altitudes and direct sunlight, sunburns are common. Carry good sunscreen lotion (SPF 30 or higher), sunglasses (preferably UV-protected goggles), and a cap or hat to protect yourself from the sun.
